Fulton Ferrikto Hard Gelatin Capsules is a lactoferrin an Iron Fumarate based formulation useful in case of deficiency or increase need of these nutrients. Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein naturally present in human and bovine milk, characterised by the capability of binding Iron. Lactoferrin seems to execute physiological functions in the body, also supported by several scientific studies. Among them: contribution to intestinal absorption or Iron and its distribution into the cells; involved in regulation of both bone marrow and systemic immune response. According to some in vitro studies, Lactoferrin seems to have an antimicrobial activity against several bacteria and mycotic strains, as well as against several viruses. Thanks to its main characteristic to be an Iron binding protein, Lactoferrin can be useful in the prevention of Iron deficiency status, frequent during pregnancy, as demonstrated in several studies.
