Some of our favorite organic licorice roots is sustainably wild collected from fields in Kazakhstan, where 14 collectors harvest for nine months out of the year. Although licorice grows like a weed and its wild stands stretch as far as the eye can see, our collectors rotate which fields they harvest to ensure the sustainability of this important resource.
